Clarity Through the Word of God

It was so dark outside this morning – and cold, and wintry, and still. I looked up into the sky and the moon and stars were shining with a stunning brilliance against the completely black night. The clarity, the power, and the way their bold light separated them from the darkness of the sky took my breath away.

We serve a God who loves us so much He has given us His Word so that we can separate the craziness of this world from the clarity of His will. His Word helps us connect with His power, His clarity, and His discernment.

“For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” – Hebrews 4:12

What power there is in the Word of God! Such clarity that it can divide the soul and spirit, joints and marrow! How discerning that it can judge the thoughts and attitudes of the heart!

Sometimes life becomes murky and it is difficult to see what your next step should be, His Word is here to guide us even when it feels like darkness surrounds us. God specializes in showing us the light. We have access to His power, His clarity, and His discernment. The Bible is a supernatural book. “His Word is living and active.” Stay close to His Word. Keep it in your heart. Write it down in your mind by memorizing it.

I’m praying for all of us reading this that we keep the Word of God close to our minds, hearts and souls today so that we depend on the wisdom of God in the situations that arise, that we may meet them with the power, clarity, and discernment that comes from God our Father, Jesus our Savior, and the Holy Spirit our Counselor.
