I believe that whatever God allows to happen in our lives works for the good as Paul puts it in Romans 8:28. We might not understand, but our God can never let us down. Think of certain decisions a parent might make to keep their child safe. Sometimes the child might take issue with these decisions because they simply cannot see that the parent is acting in their interest. Just like this unruly child, we must learn to trust our Father’s plan.
At NLWI, we are called to travel to nations to teach on Biblical Worship. In March 2020 however, our trips were prematurely aborted because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We also couldn’t host our Intensive Schools in August of 2020 because many countries were on lockdown. Even now in 2021, many concerns regarding covid still remain. However, while there are still many restrictions around the world, a lot of activities such as sports and businesses have resumed activities. So how about us? Should we remain content to serve people from the safety and comfort of our home? I do not believe so. This year at NLWI, we have resolved that no matter how difficult it is to travel in this season, we are going to Ethiopia, Zambia, Kenya and Uganda and serve the children of God. We believe that as soon as we step out in faith and get on the plane, God will make a way. Jesus told His disciples in John 16:33, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Missions are not always easy and enjoyable, but we believe obedience during the difficult times of ministry will result miracles beyond our imagination! Please pray for safe passage in all the countries we will visit, and for protection as we travel. This will be a challenging trip, but for the Lord we will NOT keep quiet! (Acts 4:20)
